To be honest, web hosting companies located in India usually come with these 3 issues:
- Expensive at the price (compared to US based companies)
- Poor customer support
- Low uptime
Let me ask you, who’s your target audience? If your site is targeting local visitors, then you have no choice but to host your site with a web hosting company in India because hosting your site out of India may somewhat decrease your website response to your Indian visitors.
However, if you’re targeting the globe, then a US based web hosting company would be your best option.
Why I can tell you that because I got several friends in India, while only 2 are using local web hosts because they’re targeting the local visitors, the rest are using US based web hosts which usually provide better quality service.
Also, since you say you need to run an entertainment site, I suppose you’ll be uploading lots of videos and audios.
If that’s the case, dedicated hosting is required should you host with a web hosting company in India because only their dedicated hosting plan can support that. But take note, it costs more than US$150 (Rs 7000) per month for that.
